So.... here we are, still pregnant. The due date has come and gone.
Everything is just fine, she is just deciding to take her own sweet time. Which is fine, but the longer she waits the more nervous we get.
My last check up was yesterday. 2 cm, 60% effaced. That means she is trying to find the way out, but not very hard. It is very important to me that I not be induced so we are counting on the full moon this weekend and the earths gravity to give her a little persuasion. I have a doctors appointment again on Tuesday if she hasnt arrived by then. They are going to hook me up to the NST (non stress test) and just make sure little one is ok in there. I am pretty sure at that point she will schedule me for the induction. I have been having contractions but they are nothing that I can monitor and they are mild in pain, not enough to get this show on the road.
This time next week regardless, we will be with baby.
I feel great, except my feet. They are so painful that I can hardly walk and the swelling is so bad that when I do walk my toes don't even come close to hitting the ground. The good news is that she has dropped, so no more heart burn or acid reflux! WHOO HOO! All in all, I feel really great and normal considering I am 9 months and 1 day pregnant.
Seattle decided to have a heat wave the last week of my pregnancy. So much for my planning. We had a full week of 95 degree weather, which here, is a nightmare. Not only is it hot, but its humid. Today its back to its wonderful normal 67 degrees.
I am sure the next post will be from a tired, scared, nervous, amazed, loving new father.
Until the next transmission................
KEEP UNCLE BECKY IN THE LOOP PLEASE!
