We had our ultrasound today. We thought it was going to be our last but looks like I have to go back in 3 weeks.
So here is whats happening.
Charlotte is already 5lbs 6oz. this puts her at the 50 percentile, which is perfect. Her last appointment she was 33% so eating like a caveman did really good for her.
All her measurements are good. She is EXTREMELY active. She moved the whole time. She is also already head down in position which brings us to why I will have to go back for another ultrasound...
So at 20 weeks I had what is called marginal placenta previa, which is fancy for placenta in the way of the birth canal. So now the placenta has moved... a little. The concern is that the placenta has so many major blood vessels that even the slightest friction could cause one of those blood vessels to break. Therefor, causing lots of bleeding. Even Charlotte's head could cause this. So, we are going to go back in 3 weeks to look again and then the doctor will make the call at that time as to whether we can go through a natural childbirth, or we are going to have to be admitted for a c section. Either way we are of course going to err on the side of caution and not take any risks..So Charlotte might have a scheduled arrival...
Other than that, we are doing really great. My blood pressure is 100/60 and I am feeling great. Charlotte is right on track and ready to meet you all!!!
