We got a call from Joan in the early afternoon saying we need to come get Olivia right away to help determine a course of action. Misty was close, being at work, so she zipped over to find out a few things..
A. Olivia was in her defiant 2yr old mood that day
B. She really had a thing with getting on the chair and trying to stand up
C. Was a little clumsy from not sleeping at naptime

..... and this all led to her sneaking over and standing up on the chair in the kitchen.. then toppling over and faceplanting on the hardwood floor.
After a trip to the doctor, we're giving it overnight to see if it will heal up. The doc said the tongue is one of the fastest healing muscles in the body, and that it can't get infected. It may need stitches, since she bit ALL the way through her tongue (without separating anything), but we're still not sure that the stress of being put under and having stitches is going to be the right answer. We'll know more tomorrow...
