First Doc's Appointment

Welp! It's legit! We gotta bun in the oven.

So we went to the Doctor's office (or nurses office rather) this morning at 7:40am. It's rad. The place is Evergreen Woman's Health clinic and its really something else. EVERYthing they do is all in house, so no running around from building to building like other places. We met with a few nurses today that were all very helpful, considerate, and comforting to Misty. I think this hospital is really going to be a blessing in the months to come.

Pretty crazy... I was a bit nervous that I'd have to witness that Bon Jovi song today. (Misty can explain if needed) Lucky for us (me) they just did the basic uterus check and took a whole bunch of blood samples for testing. Overall, it was a really simple first doctors appointment in this regards. Misty did great on this part and so far all things are checking out just fine.

Before we left, we got to do the very first ultrasound which was totally mind blowing. There was like.. this little BEAN with tiny sprout arms growing off it. It was so funny watching Misty try to not laugh/cry cuz the nurse was trying to get a good view and she (Misty) didn't wanna shake too much from laughing. I'm glad they were both looking at the monitor cuz I surely looked like Igor the Hunchback with total facial shock at what I was seeing. I mean... there's this little HUMAN! Inside of Misty! And it's half her (hopefully more) and half me!! I think seeing the child really does some weird thing to our insides emotionally, in a wonderful way. We Both were completely, utterly, blown away. We even got to see a little blip of a heartbeat (151 bpm) which is just perfect. I'll post some pictures below so you all can see as well. What was the craziest part is the little black area where the head is. The doctor said this is the early growing stages of brain matter. WHOOaoOAOAoaO!
